Couldn't ask for a better day!

GO HOOSIERS!

So, knowing me like my husband does, his special treat to me for Valentine's Day was to send me to an Indiana Basketball game last night. Best of all, he volunteered to stay home with M&M and sent John with me. Not often to I get a "night out" with my teenage son. I had a great time, and I think he did too!

Yeah, I know all about the cheating allegations, but it's still my team. Hopefully this week they will decide to get rid of the coach, then we can get over the penalties and move forward to getting this mess cleaned up(albeit five years maybe!)

So, when we get home at 11:30 I am thinking how it will be quiet and the kids asleep....NOT! They were up and having a blast, so we ordered pizza and had a pizza party at MIDNIGHT!!!

Great addition to the blog...!!my question is, did the Hoosiers win...?? also what is the history behind being a "Cutter"....is it whacking down corn stalks,? leaving school a little earily/or totally...??(as cutting school)or possibly working in a factory preparing the material for auto seats....!!

To answer your questions:
Yes, they won big! Great game!

If you have ever seen the movie Breaking Away they refer to the Cutters in the movie. The "gowns" refer to the "towns" here as Cutters because of the limestone industry. A cutter is a limestone fabricator or cutter. The majority of limestone used in major buildings is quarried here locally. Buildings such as the Pentegon, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Washington Monument, etc. In fact, the sign for the new "Yankee Stadium" was just shipped out last week from here!
